Ana Maria Spagna
Ana Maria Spagna is the author of seven award-winning books including three essay collections set largely in Stehekin: Uplake, Potluck, and Now Go Home, as well as Reclaimers, about elder women reclaiming sacred land and water, Test Ride on the Sunnyland Bus: A Daughter’s Civil Rights Journey, an illustrated humorous guide, 100 Skills You’ll Need for the End of the World, and a novel, The Luckiest Scar on Earth.
After fifteen years on NPS trail crew, she now teaches creative writing at colleges and conferences around the country.

The House that Jack Built is a small craft shop located just up the hill adjacent to the boat landing. There is an array of crafts, souvenirs and other items made by Stehekin locals which make gifts or keepsakes from your stay in Stehekin.
